OVERVIEW
The Rakuten coupon platform was centralized to simplify the user experience, making it easier for customers to find, collect, and use coupons. This new platform integrates seamlessly into the Rakuten ecosystem, offering an engaging and rewarding experience.

WIREFRAME
The goal was to create a platform where users could easily discover, collect, and enjoy Rakuten's extensive selection of coupons. By offering an engaging and visually appealing space, I aimed to encourage users to explore and claim more deals.



KEY CHALLENGES
Many users were unaware of the vast number of coupons available on Rakuten. To address this, we showcased a wide selection, allowing users to browse by service, category, or interest. This made it easier to find relevant deals and claim them with one click.


POC TEST DESIGN
In the first phase, we launched a test page to validate our concept, focusing on:

Increasing purchase intent through product appeal, deals, and urgency.

Encouraging users to try new services.

Building a habit of collecting coupons.
-
Ensuring users see value in the platform.

FINAL VERSION WIREFRAME
The PoC test revealed that high-discount coupons drove purchases, so we created a dedicated section for them. To increase return visits, we introduced a "New Coupons" section and added an animated modal to guide first-time users.

THE ASK
How do you make finding and collecting coupons as exciting as using them?
STYLE GUIDE
I updated the main color to yellow to reflect points, with red accents for Rakuten’s branding. To enhance the point-based system, I introduced number fonts that highlight key values.
